HV71 playing in SHL announces that star forward Aleksi Heponiemi is making a return to action after a long sick leave.
The skillful 27-year-old forward played his last match on January 31. After that, the shoulder he injured last December was operated on. This also ended the forward’s season.
– It has been a long time. Returning to playing shape has been hard work, but it feels good to be back. I am ready, Heponiemi says on the club’s website.
The Finn starting his second season with HV71 played 28 games last season with stats of 6+12=18.
The SHL regular season starts on September 19.
