The Swedish SHL team Örebro HK has announced its captaincy for the upcoming season. The new captain of the team is Finnish defender Robin Salo.
Salo, 27, is returning to Örebro for the upcoming season, having previously represented the team in 2020-2021. He played the last two seasons with Malmö Redhawks, where he recorded 40 points with 7 goals and 33 assists in 52 games last season. Salo was his team’s most effective defender.
Familiar from the national team, Salo has not served as a captain in club teams during his career.
In addition to Salo, there is another Finnish player in Örebro’s captaincy. Forward Kalle Kossila serves as the team’s alternate captain. Other alternate captains are Glenn Gustafsson and Josh Dickinson.
