Ahti Oksanen: next season’s address confirmed
Swiss NL club Lausanne HC has signed a one-year extension with Finnish forward Ahti Oksanen.
Oksanen, 33, has represented Lausanne for two seasons. This season, he scored 41 points with 12 goals and 29 assists in 48 regular-season games, making him the team’s fourth highest scorer.
– We are very happy to have Ahti in our locker room next season. We value his exemplary professionalism. His commitment to the club has always been significant, and he perfectly embodies the values we want to convey, Lausanne’s GM Johan Fust commented in the club’s statement.
Oksanen is a familiar face from the Lions’ jersey in recent years. He has participated in the World Championships for the last three springs.
Before his years in Switzerland, Oksanen played two seasons in Sweden. Prior to that, he spent one season in the Czech Republic, one season in the KHL with Jokerit, and three seasons in the Liiga representing KooKoo and SaiPa.
