Vegas Golden Knights has signed a six-year extension with 23-year-old Braeden Bowman. The total value of the contract is $20.4 million, with an annual salary cap hit of $3.4 million.

The new contract will take effect in the 2027–28 season.

Bowman played his first 54 NHL games last season, collecting 26 points. He scored eight goals.

However, his role in the playoffs was minimal. He did not play at all in the first three rounds, making it into the Vegas lineup only in the sixth game against the Carolina Hurricanes. That remained his only playoff appearance.

Vegas found Bowman as an undrafted player. Before his professional career, he played for the Guelph Storm and served as the team’s captain in the 2023–24 season, where he recorded 71 points in 68 games.
