The long-awaited mega deal revealed – Anaheim Ducks’ superstar hits the jackpot in the NHL!
The Anaheim Ducks have finally reached an agreement with their restricted free agent Cutter Gauthier on a new contract. The Ducks signed their superstar to a six-year extension worth an annual average of 13.5 million dollars. The total value of the contract is therefore 81 million dollars.
Gauthier, 22, was Anaheim’s top scorer last season. He recorded 69 points in 76 regular season games with a stat line of 41+28=69. In the playoffs, Gauthier scored 12 points in 12 games with a line of 4+8=12.
Gauthier was originally the fifth overall pick of the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2022 draft. However, he did not play for the team as he was traded to Anaheim. Gauthier has now played two seasons with the Ducks.
Throughout the summer, it was speculated that Gauthier’s contract would ultimately be larger than it is now. This was influenced by the five-year contract worth an annual average of 18 million dollars signed by Leo Carlsson.
