NHL cult player shaved his beard and fixed his teeth – fans in disbelief: “Who is that man?”
In the NHL for 22 seasons, cult defenseman Brent Burns, 41, is used to being seen on and off the ice in his distinctive lumberjack style.
However, with the Colorado Avalanche’s training camp starting on Thursday, only memories remained of Burn’s old, scruffy, bearded, and gap-toothed look.
The Canadian arrived at camp with well-groomed hair and beard. The star’s dental lineup had also been straightened out over the summer.
Fans received the veteran defenseman’s new look, who has played over 1700 games in the NHL including playoffs, with a bit of disbelief.
– Who is that man? Where is Brent Burns? fans asked in unison.
– Oh no! He looks amazing, one fan noted, surely summarizing the thoughts of many others in two words.
– The guy just halved his age, one laughed.
