Swedish forward Linus Omark, 38, who played for Jokerit in the KHL season 2014-15, has received an exceptional contract offer, Swedish site Hockeynews.se reports.
According to Hockeynews, Södertälje SK is ready to make Omark the highest-paid player in the history of Hockeyallsvenskan. The specific details of the contract offer are not public.
Omark has played the last two seasons in the SHL with Luleå HF. The skillful forward recorded 34 points in 50 SHL games last season, with 12 goals and 22 assists.
In addition to the SHL, Omark has played in Switzerland, the NHL, and the KHL with Salavat Yulaev Ufa and Jokerit. During one season with Jokerit, Omark achieved 46 points in 60 games, with 16 goals and 30 assists.
