Patrik Laine will be seen in action before the NHL season starts. The Finnish forward has been named to participate in the SoFlo Hockey summer league game taking place in Florida on Monday.

SoFlo Hockey announced on its social media channels that Laine is part of Team Moxies’ roster. The team will face Bema Group in the early hours of Tuesday, Finnish time.

This is not just a practice event. According to the league’s website, the games are competitive and will be played at the Florida Panthers’ practice facility. Tickets are also being sold for the events.

SoFlo Hockey reports that it has grown from a small summer league held in South Florida into one of the most spectacular summer hockey events in the United States. It features NHL players, top names from college leagues, promising young talents, and local stars.

Laine is not the only NHL player on Team Moxies. The team also includes Anthony Duclair, Nikita Zadorov, Fjodor Svetskov, and Brandon Duhaime.

The opposing team, Bema Group, also has plenty of NHL experience. The roster includes Seth Jones, Aleksei Toroptshenko, and Andrew Peeke.

Laine’s game will be played in the early hours of Tuesday, Finnish time.
