Expressen: Swedish club close to Finnish acquisition – here is Juuso Välimäki’s replacement

The SHL club Brynäs IF is acquiring Finnish talent for its defense lineup next season. According to Expressen, the club is close to a deal with Axel Rindell.
Brynäs managed to sign another Finnish defenseman, Juuso Välimäki, at the end of June. However, he signed an NHL contract with the Carolina Hurricanes the very next day, leaving Brynäs empty-handed. Now Brynäs is replacing Välimäki with Rindell.
Rindell, 26, has played the last four seasons in the SHL representing Timrå IK, Leksands IF, and last season the HV71 team. Last season was Rindell’s best in the SHL, as he recorded 36 points in 52 games with 10 goals and 26 assists.
Rindell has also been seen in his career with the Lions.
