Patrik Laine: goal!
Patrik Laine made his return to the rink in the early hours of Tuesday, Finnish time, when he participated in a SoFlo Hockey summer league game. Laine, who played for Team Moxies, immediately scored a goal against Bema Group in the match.
SoFlo Hockey shared a video on Instagram of Laine’s goal. Laine receives the puck from close range and quickly shoots it with a wrist shot into the top corner.
The hockey event held in Florida featured NHL players, top names from college leagues, young prospects, and local hockey stars. In addition to Laine, Team Moxies included familiar NHL names such as Anthony Duclair, Nikita Zadorov, Fjodor Svetskov, and Brandon Duhaime, while Bema Group featured players like Seth Jones, Aleksei Toroptshenko, and Andrew Peeke.
Laine currently does not have a contract with any team for next season. Last season, he played only five games with the Montreal Canadiens, recording 0+1.
