Teuvo Teräväinen was injured in the NHL – unfortunate news from the head coach
The Chicago Blackhawks lost Teuvo Teräväinen during last night’s game against the St. Louis Blues. The Finnish forward was injured and could not finish the game.
Teräväinen was on the ice for just under ten minutes during the first two periods. The Blackhawks confirmed during the game that he would not return to the ice.
No further information about the nature or severity of Teräväinen’s injury has been received yet. Head coach Jeff Blashill stated after the game that the Finn will sit out the team’s next away trip to New York, where Chicago will face the Islanders.
According to Blashill, Teräväinen’s situation should clarify in the coming days.
Before his injury, Teräväinen managed to get on the scoresheet in the game. He recorded an assist on a goal scored by Anton Frondell. The Blackhawks ultimately secured a 4–2 victory in the match.
Teräväinen has collected 0+2 points in the first three games of the season.
