Justus Annunen has been sidelined from the Nashville Predators’ roster. The NHL team announced on Tuesday that they have placed the Finnish goaltender on the injured list.

Annunen has not yet played this season. The season opener for the Finn, who won gold as the number one goaltender for the Lions in May, will still have to wait.

Nashville has called up Matt Murray from the AHL team Milwaukee Admirals to take his place. Murray will temporarily serve as Juuse Saros‘ backup.

Last season, Annunen played 28 games for the Predators, starting 23 of them. His save percentage was 90.7.

Saros has played both of Nashville’s early season games. The team continues its season against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night, Finnish time.
