KooKoo achieved its first victory of the season in the League on Friday. The team from Kouvola defeated Jukurit at home with a clear score of 4-1.

The match was the first for Kai Suikkanen in the role of head coach for KooKoo.

– Yes, one must be satisfied that we got such a good start against a tough team like Jukurit. Everyone has seen that Jukurit has been flying all autumn, Suikkanen said after the match.

– I am very proud of my team. We started this work yesterday morning. The theme was that we cannot have an average of four and a half goals against, as it has been so far. We need to get that lower, and we did.

Despite the victory, there is still work to be done.

– We have a lot to do. It’s not ready yet, and I don’t know if hockey is ever ready from the perspective of foolish coaches.

KooKoo is still last in the league. After 11 matches played, the team from the concrete city has four league points.
