The captain of the Lions Aleksander Barkov once again showcased his elegance at the World Championships. His magnificent gesture in the opening match against Germany is captivating social media.
Barkov spoke with the referee during the match. He apologized to the referee for the actions of the Finnish team in the game. The duo’s conversation was captured by the referee’s camera, from which IIHF shared the video on TikTok.
– I know we shout at you a lot, but don’t mind us. We are just frustrated at times, Barkov told the referee.
The referee greatly appreciated Barkov’s gesture.
