Here is the Lions’ World Championship schedule – Sweden received an unpleasant advantage from the Finnish perspective
The schedule for the 2027 Ice Hockey World Championships has been published. In the tournament held in Germany, the Lions will play their group stage matches in Mannheim.
Finland will start its World Championship campaign on May 14 against Latvia. The following day is a rest day, after which the Lions will face Switzerland on May 16 and Austria on May 17.
The next match will be played on May 19, when they will face the host country Germany.
Later in the group stage, Finland will again face a tight match schedule. The Lions will meet Ukraine on May 22 and immediately the next day Sweden. The last match of the group stage is against Slovenia on May 25.
For the match against Sweden, Finland will head straight from the Ukraine match instead of having a rest day. Sweden, on the other hand, will have a rest day before the match.
The final of the World Championships will be held in Düsseldorf on May 30.

Fri 14.5. Finland–Latvia at 21:20
Sun 16.5. Finland–Switzerland at 17:20
Mon 17.5. Finland–Austria at 21:20
Wed 19.5. Finland–Germany at 17:20
Sat 22.5. Finland–Ukraine at 21:20
Sun 23.5. Finland–Sweden at 21:20
