New information about Eeli Tolvanen’s situation – this NHL team interested in the Finnish forward!
Eeli Tolvanen is still on the open market in the NHL. The Finnish forward’s name has once again come up in trade rumors.
The Fourth Period’s reporter David Pagnotta reports that the Detroit Red Wings have shown interest in Tolvanen. According to Pagnotta, there are other names on the free agent market that the Red Wings are currently evaluating.
Earlier this summer, Tolvanen’s name has been linked to at least the New York Rangers, who have reportedly been monitoring Tolvanen’s situation.
Tolvanen, 27, represented the Seattle Kraken for the last three and a half seasons. He recorded 36 points in 78 games last season with a score of 12+24.
Tolvanen is the 30th overall pick in the first round by the Nashville Predators in 2017. He has played a total of 423 NHL regular season games (92+98=190) and 21 playoff games (4+5) for Nashville and Seattle.
Tolvanen won Olympic bronze with the Lions this year. He has played in the Olympics twice and in the World Championships twice.
