Liiga clubs chasing Swedish center – chose a lucrative offer from abroad

The Swedish center Åke Stakkestad, 24, was a hot name in this spring’s transfer market.
According to Expressen, several clubs from Sweden and Finland were interested in Stakkestad’s services. However, the forward ultimately chose Leksands IF.
This season, Stakkestad played for BIK Karlskoga in HockeyAllsvenskan. In 52 regular season games, he recorded 18+16=34 points. In the relegation series, he scored 1+14=15 points in 15 games.
Next season, Stakkestad’s salary will increase significantly. According to Expressen, he will earn 90,000 kronor per month in Leksand, which is approximately 8,261 euros.
