The winning goal of the match was scored by Carolina’s Finnish star Sebastian Aho. He put his team ahead 3-1 in the second period by lifting the puck into the net from the corner. Aho celebrated his goal with emotion, sending the home crowd into a frenzy.

For Aho, who had faced criticism during the playoffs, the goal was his first in the final series and his fifth point overall. Throughout the playoffs, Aho has scored 12 points with 5 goals and 7 assists in 18 games.

Vegas scored the first goal of the match in the opening period when Pavel Dorofejev succeeded. Carolina’s scoring was opened by Jordan Staal, who netted his sixth goal in the final series.
