Benjamin Rautiainen made a big revelation: “I want to bring it to light”
Tappara forward Benjamin Rautiainen has made a clear decision about his upcoming season. If he does not secure a spot on the Tampa Bay Lightning’s NHL roster, he will continue with Tappara next season.
Rautiainen shared this in an interview with Tappara and emphasized that the decision is unequivocal for him.
– I will play for Tappara. It’s clear, and I want to make that public. There is a place for me in Tappara if I don’t fit into the NHL roster, the points king states in Tappara’s interview.
Rautiainen signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning in May. The forward, who was drafted to the NHL last year, is now aiming for a spot in the world’s best hockey league.
He has visited the organization once and describes it as very high-level.
– I have been there once. It is a great city, and the organization is top-notch. They are really strong year after year. That’s the impression I currently live with. They have quality players, and they fight for top positions every year, Rautiainen says.
From the club management, he has met GM Julien BriseBois and spoke with him last week.
– I have met BriseBois, and I actually talked to him last week. I don’t know him that well, but he seems nice. He also understands things. A really capable guy. I haven’t met Cooper yet. We’ll see about that later, Rautiainen says.
