Janne Kuokkanen was dropped to the 13th forward in the Lions – this is how he commented
ZÜRICH. Head coach of the Lions, Antti Pennanen, has adjusted Finland’s lines. Bad news came for Janne Kuokkanen, who was dropped to the 13th forward.
So far, Kuokkanen has performed effectively on the World Championship ice. In the first three matches, he has accumulated stats of 1+1.
Kuokkanen himself was not particularly shaken by the news of his reduced role.
– We have a hell of a good group here. I’m happy to be a part of this and I accept every role. Everything is a win, Kuokkanen says.
Kuokkanen is satisfied with his own game, but it does not cause any jubilant outbursts.
– Quite okay. There have been good phases and sometimes bad phases.
Kuokkanen says that being dropped to the 13th forward brings a desire to show what he can do.
– You always want to play as much as possible and in as big a role as possible. The thirteenth forward is of course a smaller role and sometimes you don’t play at all. You have to approach it the right way and show, when the opportunity comes, that you are ready.
