Malmö Redhawks’ Finnish forward Janne Kuokkanen has received a four-game suspension from the SHL, Expressen reports.
Kuokkanen tackled Skellefteå’s Oliver Okulari harshly to the head during Saturday’s SHL round. The 27-year-old forward will lose 30,000 Swedish kronor, approximately 2712 euros, due to the suspension.
Kuokkanen did not accept his punishment.
– Too much, it’s absolutely too much, the Finnish forward huffed to Expressen.
Kuokkanen has been Malmö’s top scorer this season. He has totaled 12 points in 12 games with 4+8=12.
