Finland’s fresh NHL draft pick: North America calls!

This summer, the Finnish forward prospect Noel Pakarinen, 17, is heading to the North American junior league WHL for the upcoming season. Penticton Vees has signed a contract with Pakarinen.
Vegas Golden Knights drafted Pakarinen in the NHL in the 7th round with the number 207.
Pakarinen has played the last few years with Kiekko-Espoo. Last season, he played 31 regular season games in the U20 SM league with points of 13+17=30 and 15 playoff games with points of 4+6=10, helping to win the league championship.
Last season, Pakarinen also played nine games in the Liiga. He recorded one assist in those games.
Pakarinen represented Finland in the U18 World Championships last spring. He scored points of 1+1 in five games during the tournament.
