Detroit Red Wings’ long-time star forward and captain Dylan Larkin submitted a trade request a month ago. At that time, it was reported that Larkin would only accept a trade to three teams: the Florida Panthers, Minnesota Wild, and Vegas Golden Knights.

About a month later, reporter Helene St. James reports on X that Larkin’s trade saga has not progressed at all. Detroit is at a standstill with Larkin, as he has not expanded his list of teams he is willing to move to, and Detroit has not received any interesting offers from Florida, Minnesota, or Vegas.

Detroit is seeking players in return for Larkin who can help the team immediately.

Larkin, 29, has represented Detroit for 11 seasons and has served as the team’s captain for the last six seasons. Last season, he recorded 67 points in 74 games with a stat line of 34+33. Larkin’s contract, which guarantees an annual salary of $8.7 million, runs through 2031.

Larkin has played over 800 regular season games in Detroit. However, he has only played five games in the playoffs.

In two-plus months since requesting trade from Red Wings, Dylan Larkin has not expanded his list (he has no-trade clause) from Florida, Minnesota, Vegas. No offers from those teams have intrigued Wings. They want value-now players for a 1C with very favorable contract.
