Connor McDavid took the Olympic record from Teemu Selänne and Saku Koivu

Connor McDavid has broken the Olympic points record.
McDavid was marked as the second assist for Canada’s 1-2 reduction against Finland. With this assist, Canada’s top scorer has already amassed 2+10=12 points in these Olympics.
In those Olympics where NHL players have participated, no one has been able to achieve the same before. The previous record was held by Teemu Selänne and Saku Koivu. Both scored 11 points in the Turin Games in 2006.
There is still a little way to go for McDavid to break the Olympic record from the non-NHL era. In the Chamonix Games in 1924, Canadian amateur player Harry Watson scored a light 37 points.
