In the first period, Carolina took the lead with a score of 3-1. Logan Stankoven, Jackson Blake, and Jordan Staal all scored. Sebastian Aho recorded an assist on Staal’s goal. In between, Mark Stone scored a goal to narrow the gap for Vegas.

Vegas made the game exciting in the second period and equalized. First, William Karlsson scored, followed by Brett Howden. This was already Howden’s 14th goal in the playoffs, while he scored 12 during the regular season.

In the final period, Carolina’s winning goal was scored by the in-form captain Staal, who has now scored five goals in the finals. The final score was sealed into an empty net by Nikolaj Ehlers.

In Carolina’s goal, we saw Brandon Bussi, who was switched in during the previous game, making his playoff debut. He led his team to an important victory in a tough situation, recording 18 saves. The previously played games were handled by Frederik Andersen, who was completely rested and wasn’t even on the bench. Carolina’s backup was Pjotr Kotshetkov.

In Vegas’ goal, Carter Hart played as usual. He made 23 saves in the fourth game.

With Carolina’s victory, the sixth game in the finals series is also confirmed. The next fifth meeting is set to take place in Raleigh on Friday night, according to Finnish time.
