Ville Peltonen continues as the head coach of Geneve-Servette, which plays in the Swiss league.

The club announced on Monday that Peltonen will continue in his position until the end of the season. At the same time, Geneve-Servette revealed that they have hired Sam Hallamin, who is currently coaching the Swedish national team, as their head coach for the next season. The Swedish coach’s contract is for three years.

Peltonen moved to the Swiss club this season from HIFK. Originally hired as an assistant coach, the lion legend was promoted to interim head coach a week ago after Yorick Treille was dismissed from the head coach position. The team has won both matches played under Peltonen and is currently fourth in the league.

This season, Geneve-Servette features Finnish players, including defender Vili Saarijärvi and forwards Jesse Puljujärvi, Sakari Manninen, and Markus Granlund.
