The promising goalkeeper Oskari Ahmajärvi, 17, known from the youth national teams, is moving to North America next season to join the junior league OHL. Brampton Steelheads has made a contract with Ahmajärvi.

Ahmajärvi has represented Kiekko-Espoo for the past few years. Last season, he played 29 regular season games in the U20 SM league with a save percentage of 91.0 and seven playoff games with a save percentage of 90.3. At the end of the season, Ahmajärvi won the U20 SM league championship with the team.

Last spring, Ahmajärvi served as the first goalkeeper for the Little Lions in the U18 World Championships. He played in four games for Finland and recorded a save percentage of 88.2.
