The door is open – Familiar players from Jokers to the free market!
The Danish club Esbjerg Energy announced on Monday the departure of several of its players for the upcoming season. Among those leaving are three Finnish players: Miku Ronkainen, Valtteri Jeskanen, and Jaakko Heikkinen.
Forward Ronkainen moved to Esbjerg for this season from Turun TUTO, where he was the top scorer in Mestis last season. In Denmark, the 28-year-old winger had a strong season, finishing with 44 points in 48 games (18+26).
Defender Jeskanen, on the other hand, brought experience to Esbjerg’s defense from the previous two seasons with Jokerit. He played 46 games this season and recorded 12 points (1+11).
Heikkinen played in the 2024-25 season with Jokerit and on loan at Liiga club Kiekko-Espoo. This past season in Esbjerg, he finished with 26 points in 47 games (9+17).
The new addresses for the players are not yet known.
