American defender David Farrance, 27, is moving to the multinational ICEHL league for the next season. His new team is the Italian HC Pustertal.

Farrance started the past season with KHL team Sibir Novosibirsk. However, he only played ten games for the team, scoring 0+3 points, before his contract was terminated. Farrance then moved to Germany for the remainder of the season to Augsburger Panther, where he managed to play nine games with a score of 1+1.

In the 2024-25 season, Farrance was seen in the ranks of KooKoo. He racked up strong points in 53 games with 2+35=37 and was the team’s most effective defender. Farrance’s plus/minus rating at that time was an impressive +26.

– We were particularly interested in players of David’s age, as at that age players can still develop a lot. David has impressive statistics from the Liiga, but injuries disrupted his last season. He is an excellent skater with a lot of potential to lead our power play and score points, commented Pustertal’s head coach Jason Jaspers in the club’s statement.

Farrance has played two games in the NHL with the Nashville Predators during the 2020-21 season.
