Urheilucast: Tappara taking away the competitor’s best scorer!
Tappara is targeting Kiekko-Espoo’s top scorer Jere Väisänen. According to Urheilucast‘s Esko Seppänen, the information suggests that the Tampere club is already far along in negotiations with the 26-year-old forward.
Väisänen has been one of the standout breakthrough players of the Liiga season. He has scored 18 points (9+9) in 18 games and leads Kiekko-Espoo’s internal scoring list.
The forward’s development has been remarkable. Just last season, the Blues’ product collected 25 points (10+15) in 60 regular-season games.
Tappara’s potential acquisition would primarily concern future seasons, and Väisänen is not necessarily expected to change teams during the current season.
According to Seppänen, Väisänen would be a significant part of Tappara’s sports director Janne Vuorinen‘s plans for team building in the upcoming seasons.
