Here is Petteri Lindbohm’s new team!
Finnish defender Petteri Lindbohm, 33, continues his games in Sweden. SHL team Färjestad BK announces that they have signed a contract with Lindbohm for the remainder of the season.
Lindbohm played the early part of the season in Liiga with TPS. The experienced defender played 16 Liiga games with the Turku team, where he recorded five assists.
TPS announced earlier on Monday the termination of Lindbohm’s contract. The defender utilized the foreign option included in his contract, which allowed him to move to Sweden.
– He is good at breaking up opponents’ attacks, provides quality outlet passes, and plays responsibly. He has experience from practically all top leagues, from North America, Switzerland, and SHL as well, Färjestad’s sports director Rickard Wallin praises in the club’s announcement.
Wallin states that Lindbohm is expected to join the team’s roster as soon as possible. The exact timing is not yet known.
Lindbohm has a substantial international career behind him. He has previously played in the NHL, AHL, KHL, and the Swiss top league. In Sweden, Lindbohm also played during the 2022-23 season, when he represented Frölunda.
Lindbohm has won Olympic gold and a world championship with the Lions.
