Niilo Halonen: new team

The Finnish goalkeeper Niilo Halonen, known from the league, has found a new team. He will move to the Norwegian top league team Lillehammer for the next season.
Halonen, 27, played last season in Poland representing Zaglebie Sosnowiec. He recorded a save percentage of 92.6 in 25 regular season games and a save percentage of 91.7 in 11 playoff games.
In the league, Halonen has played a total of 95 regular season games and eight playoff games in his career. He has played most of his games for HIFK, and he was last seen with Sport during the 2024-25 season. Additionally, Halonen has represented KooKoo.
During the 2023-24 season, Halonen played in Sweden’s Allsvenskan for Västerås IK.
