NHL prospect Eemil Vinni: new team
Joensuu Kiekko-Pojat has loaned goaltending prospect Eemil Vinni, 20, to another team in the Mestis league.
The team announced on Sunday that Vinni, who represented HIFK at the Liiga level, will be moving to Imatran Ketterä for the remainder of the season on a loan deal. Vinni has played 17 games for the Joensuu team this season, with an average of 2.99 goals against and a save percentage of 88.4.
The Edmonton Oilers’ second-round pick from the summer of 2024 had a limited role in Joensuu after the team signed experienced goaltender Kasimir Kaskisuon in December. Vinni played his last game for Kiekko-Pojat on January 10.
