Leijonat star Oliwer Kaski: new team
MM defender Oliwer Kaski returns to the SHL next season. According to Expressen, the 30-year-old Kaski has signed a contract with Malmö Redhawks.
Kaski moved this season from HV71 to Köln, which plays in the DEL and is still competing in the German league playoffs. Kaski played 48 regular season games with impressive stats of 11+27=38, making him the team’s second most effective defender after Valtteri Kemiläinen.
According to Expressen, Malmö will announce Kaski’s contract immediately after Köln’s DEL season ends. The team that won the regular season is currently playing in the German league semifinals against Schwenningen.
Kaski’s new team Malmö’s season ended in the SHL quarterfinals against regular season champions Skellefteå with a match score of 1-4.
Kaski is a familiar name from the Lions. The defender has played in three World Championships during his career. His trophy cabinet includes one World Championship gold and one World Championship silver.
