Leevi Selänne has found a new team!
Teemu Selänne‘s son Leevi Selänne has found a new team in the Suomi series. He is moving to Porvoon Hunters with a contract covering the next season.
Selänne, 26, played last season in the Suomi series representing Järvenpään Haukkoja, which also won the league championship last spring. Selänne played 18 regular season games for the team, scoring 8+8=16 points, and two playoff games without any points.
In Mestis, Selänne has represented Kajaanin Hokki and Joensuun Kiekko-Pojat. Additionally, he has played one season in Sweden’s fourth highest league for Ockelbo HC.
Hunters states in their announcement that Selänne will be seen for the first time in the team’s jersey in action on August 29, when Hunters’ own tournament called Intersport Suomenoja Cup will be held.
