In the NHL prospect match, the gloves were dropped – a 216-centimeter giant was challenged to a fight.
The San Jose Sharks’ draft pick, a towering 216-centimeter and 123-kilogram defenseman Aleksandr Karmanov, fought against the Los Angeles Kings in an NHL prospects game.
Karmanov engaged in a fight with Kings forward Liam Lefebvre. The two have a significant size difference, as Lefebvre (191 cm / 92 kg) is 25 centimeters shorter and 31 kilograms lighter than Karmanov.
The two threw off their gloves at Lefebvre’s initiation. Ultimately, Lefebvre quickly found himself at a disadvantage against the massive Karmanov.
Karmanov, 18, is a Moldovan-Russian defenseman. The Sharks selected him in this summer’s draft in the 7th round with the 201st pick.
Canadian Lefebvre, 19, is the Kings’ 2nd round pick (#46) from this year.
