The Turku-based TUTO Hockey has made a high-profile player acquisition for the Mestis level.
The club announced on Tuesday that it has signed a contract with Hermeksen’s last season’s golden helmet Atte Karppinen, 27, extending until the end of November.
– Atte is an experienced Mestis player who still wants to develop and move to the next level. We expect Atte to have the ability to deliver results, head coach Samuli Marjeta describes the acquisition of the Kärpät product on the club’s website.
The 188-centimeter winger scored 11+32=43 points in 49 regular season games played with Hermeksen’s Mestis team last season.
