Forward Saku Mäenalanen will continue his career in Switzerland next season as well.

According to information received by Iltalehti, Mäenalanen has signed an extension with the NL team SCL Tigers.

Mäenalanen, 31, is currently representing the Tigers for the third season. He has recorded 4+12=16 points in 25 games this season.

Mäenalanen has been seen with the Lions four times in the World Championships and once in the Olympics. He has won Olympic gold and the World Championship in 2022. Mäenalanen has also been selected for the EHT tournament to be held in Switzerland in December.

In his career, Mäenalanen has played two seasons in the NHL, one with the Carolina Hurricanes and the other with the Winnipeg Jets. He also represented Jokerit in the KHL for two seasons. In the league, Mäenalanen has won three Finnish championships with Kärpät.
