Hint from the MM gold lion about next season’s team: “Really, really good club”
The 2+2 powerhouse in the EHT tournament in Tampere last November, Jere Innala, has made a revelation about his future plans.
This season, the 27-year-old forward, who returned from the NHL organization Colorado Avalanche to play in the SHL with Frölunda, is currently negotiating a contract extension with the Swedish club.
– They (the background team) are in negotiations, but right now my focus is on the games, Innala, who previously represented Frölunda for two seasons, tells Göteborgs-Posten.
Having scored 14 points (7+7) in 21 games in the SHL, and having played 17 NHL games last season, Innala’s services are sure to attract interest in Switzerland, where some of the highest salaries for foreign players in Europe are currently paid.
However, Innala emphasizes that he values the overall package above all.
– It’s more about where I want to be, and this is a really good club. Really, really good. Money is not always the main thing, Innala states.
