Teemu Selänne‘s son Leevi Selänne is moving to the Suomi series.

Järvenpään Haukat reports on Instagram that Selänne joined the team’s roster on Tuesday. Selänne is seeking a permanent playing position with the Haukat for the remainder of the season.

This season, forward Selänne, 25, has played one game in the Mestis for Joensuun Kiekko-Pojat.

Haukat states that Selänne will be seen in action immediately on Saturday when the team hosts Muik Hockey in Järvenpää.

Last season, Selänne played in Sweden’s fourth highest league, Ockelbo HC, appearing in 32 games with a scoring record of 15+9=24. The season before that, he played in the Mestis for Hokki, recording 2+2 points in 23 games.
