Gold Lion left for the NHL – the Swiss club has now found a replacement
The Swiss NL club ZSC Lions lost the golden lion Juho Lammikko, who represented the team for three seasons, during the summer. His contract with the club would have lasted until 2028. Lammikko signed a one-year NHL contract with the New Jersey Devils in June.
Following Lammikko’s departure, ZSC Lions turned their attention to the player market and have now found a replacement for Lammikko. Canadian Andy Andreoff will strengthen the team with a two-year contract.
Andreoff, 34, played the last two seasons in the KHL with Sibir Novosibirsk. Last season, he recorded 22 goals and 16 assists for a total of 38 points in 64 regular season games, as well as 2 goals and 2 assists in seven playoff games.
In his career, Andreoff has also played 188 NHL games, scoring 14 goals and 13 assists for a total of 27 points. He has represented the Los Angeles Kings, Philadelphia Flyers, and New York Islanders.
