The SHL club Färjestad BK announces that they have terminated the contract of Czech defenseman Ronald Knot.

Knot, 31, joined Färjestad in September on an initial seven-week contract, which was later extended for the remainder of the season. He played 33 games for the club, recording 2+2 points. Now, however, Färjestad reports that Knot is leaving the team and moving to another club.

Last season, Knot represented HIFK in the Liiga. He played 50 regular season games, scoring 8+12=20 points, and two playoff games without scoring.

Knot has also been seen in recent years wearing the Czech national team jersey. He has played once in the World Championships and once in the Olympics.
