This is the group of the Young Lions in the upcoming World Championships
The U20 World Championships have been completed. Sweden took the championship, silver went to the Czech Republic, and bronze to Canada. Finland placed fourth.
After the tournament, the group allocation for next year’s U20 World Championships is clear. Finland will face the defending champion Sweden, the United States, Slovakia, and Germany in their group. In the other group are the Czech Republic, Canada, Switzerland, Latvia, and the promoted team Norway.
The 2027 U20 World Championship will be held in Alberta, Canada. Finland’s group will take place in Red Deer and the other group in Edmonton.
Canada, as the tournament host, still has the right to swap the positions of two countries between the groups.
