Sweden has announced its team for the EHT tournament to be held in Finland in November.

The most interesting name on the team is Nicklas Bäckström, who has played over 1,100 NHL games in his career and returns to the Tre Kronor jersey since the World Championship that concluded in the spring of 2017. Bäckström currently represents Brynäs in the SHL, where he has scored 12 points (2+10) in 16 games at the start of the season.

Bäckström, 37, has played in five World Championships and two Olympics for the national team. He has won two World Championship gold medals and one Olympic silver medal.

The Swedish EHT team includes two goalkeepers, eight defenders, and 14 forwards. The team consists of players who play in Sweden and Switzerland.
