Sebastian Aho finished the season with his 25th goal in the NHL as the Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins on the road with a crushing score of 5-1.

With this goal, Aho became the first player in the club’s history to reach the 25-goal milestone in eight different NHL seasons. The previous record was held by Ron Francis.

The Carolina Hurricanes were previously known as the Hartford Whalers. The team moved to Carolina in the fall of 1997.

Leading the internal scoring race among Finns, Aho has now recorded 25 goals and 47 assists for a total of 72 points in 70 games this season. The Hurricanes, who have secured their third consecutive victory, lead the NHL’s Eastern Conference.
