Tappara has suffered a significant loss. The club’s star forward Benjamin Rautiainen will be at the training camp of NHL team Tampa Bay Lightning from this week onwards.

Previously, Tappara has stated that if a playing position does not come from the NHL, Rautiainen will return to the team. He will not be seen in the AHL this season.

Tampa Bay’s training season begins with a three-day tournament, which will be held from September 13 to 15. The opponents in the tournament are the Carolina Hurricanes and the Nashville Predators.

The NHL regular season starts on September 30, by which time Rautiainen’s fate will have been decided.

The 21-year-old Rautiainen won the league’s scoring title last season. He recorded impressive stats of 25+52=77 in 59 regular season games.
