The New York Rangers have made a new defenseman acquisition in the NHL.

This season, the traditionally prestigious team, which has had a massive downturn, acquired Vincent Iorio, 23, from the waiver list, where the San Jose Sharks had placed the 191-centimeter defenseman a day earlier.

Iorio has played 23 NHL games this season with a score of 0+3. In the AHL, the defenseman has recorded 0+7 points in six games.

Iorio is a second-round draft pick from 2021. In addition to the Rangers, he has previously represented the Washington Capitals in the NHL.
