Janne Pesonen, who was dismissed from HIFK: new job
The former sports director of HIFK, Janne Pesonen, who was dismissed in November, has found a new job. The 43-year-old Pesonen returns to Warner Bros. Discovery’s hockey team as an expert.
Pesonen will serve as an expert in the commentary booth and studio for some of the national team matches of the Lions this coming spring. Finland will still play in the EHT tournaments in the Czech Republic and Sweden before the World Championships in May.
The HBO Max streaming service and TV5, operating under Warner Bros. Discovery, will broadcast Finland’s EHT matches live.
In addition to Pesonen, the channel’s experts will include Ismo Lehkonen, Joonas Donskoi, Tuomas Grönman, and Lennart Petrell.
For Pesonen, this area is not new. He served as a hockey expert at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
