The Finnish Ice Hockey Museum has named six new members as Ice Hockey Lions (numbers 281-286).

The Vapriikki Museum Center announced on Monday that the latest honored names are players Topi Jaakola, Mika Pyörälä, Tuukka Rask and Anssi Salmela, referees Johanna Suban, and influencers Jukka-Pekka Vuorinen.

Among the selected players, Salmela, Pyörälä, and Jaakola were part of the Lions’ gold medal team at the 2011 World Championships. Rask, who has been named the NHL’s best goaltender once, has also celebrated a Stanley Cup victory in his career.

The number selected now (6) is the largest that can be chosen for the gallery in a single year.

The chairperson of the selection committee is former NHL star defenseman Teppo Numminen.
