Alexander Ruuttu returns to the Liiga – team confirmed!
KooKoo has made a comprehensive agreement for the remainder of the season with 33-year-old forward Alexander Ruuttu.
Ruuttu played 44 games last season with Jukurit, scoring 13+10=23 points and served as the team’s alternate captain. In the spring, he moved to the German top league club Adler Mannheim.
KooKoo’s sports director Antti Tuomenoksa states that Ruuttu brings much-needed expertise to the team.
– Alexander Ruuttu’s strengths support our vision of the direction we are taking the team. Ruuttu is a strong right-side shooting forward with solid experience in special teams play, Tuomenoksa commented in a press release.
A product of HIFK, he has played 346 Liiga games in six different clubs, with stats of 65+53=118. He also has experience from Sweden’s HockeyAllsvenskan and the German leagues.
KooKoo’s player acquisitions may not stop here, as the club is still looking for reinforcements.
– Together with the coaching staff, we are on the same page that the team still requires comprehensive reinforcement, and work is continuously being done towards that, Tuomenoksa continues.
